In operation the workpiece is held down on the Ultrafine with very low magnetic field 2mm, therefore no influence on the spark erosion process, in other words no particles adhere to the workpiece.
Ultrafine magnetic chucks have the following advantages:-

Unit features
Every (4mm) narrow steel pole in the Ultrafine magnetic chuck is supported by a set of permanent ceramic magnets on both sides.
These are the same magnetic ceramic magnets used in the complete range of permanent magnetic chucks which are guaranteed never to lose their magnetic force. The solid construction of the Ultrafine gives high stability despite the 45mm height. The infinitely variable magnetic force of the Ultrafine even allows the operator to grind distorted workpieces accurately.

Double neodymium magnet pack generates an exceptionally high holding force on workpieces with an uneven or rough contact surface.
Low magnetic field, concentrated over the top plate without stray fields. No chip contamination of workpiece surface and cutting tool.
Transverse, close pole division of 11mm of steel and 4mm of brass allows optimal holding of workpieces being just 26mm long and 6mm thick. The top plate can be drilled and tapped to accommodate pins, pegs or other clamping aids.
Sturdy construction designed to take a heavy load. Vibrations are damped, contributing to machining accuracy.

PERMANENT MAGNETIC CHUCK FOR SPARK EROSION AND PRECISION GRINDING.
Low profile (height) of merely 35mm. The Neospark chuck can be put on a pallet without creating weight and height problems, both in manual and robot pallet changing systems.
Excellent holding force of up to 100 N/cm2 and micro pole pitch allowing to hold very small and thin workpieces.
Height of the magnetic field being just 6mm and the absence of stray magnetic fields allow sparking operations close to the chuck surface.
No clogging up of the hexagon-socket of the actuating shaft thanks to the removal stud allowing to redress the top surface.
The smooth and flush faces of the chuck further the low “contamination sensitivity” to spark erosion particles allowing easy cleaning and adding to the overall accuracy.

ELECTRO-PERMANENT MAGNETIC CHUCKS
A range of powerful, reliable and waterproof Electro-Permanent magnetic chucks for all surface grinding applications.
The Electro-Permanent technology consists in changing the magnetic state of the chuck by means of short electric pulses. Once the pulses are completed the magnetic chuck keeps its new state, magnetized or demagnetized, even in case of power supply failure.
The advantages of Electro-Permanent technology are unquestionable:-

FULL DEMAGNETIZATION
Electro-Permanent chucks integrate the full demagnetization concept. During demagnetization cycle, the Alnico magnets are completely demagnetized due to a series of decreasing electric impulses.
The full demagnetization permits to reach the lowest possible residual magnetism level in the workpiece, including the workpieces made of high-alloy steel.

Universal Electro-permanent magnetic chuck with extra thin pole pitch, can be used for EDM applications. Ideal for clamping of very thin elements.
*The indicated thickness permits to reach the optimal utilization conditions. Nevertheless thinner workpieces can also be machined.

CONTROL UNITS
Control Units permit to control all Electro-Permanent magnetic chucks. Resulting from many years of research and experience, they permit to exploit the advantages of Electro-Permanent technology with recognized reliability.
ADJUSTABLE MAGNETIZATION
Equipped with the newest, microprocessor based remote control T10, the control unit permits to adjust the holding force of the magnetic chuck with a 20 steps resolution.
FULL DEMAGNETIZATION
The demagnetization cycles are optimized for each type of chuck. It is also possible to customize the cycle on request by means of DB9-RS232 connector.
MULTIPLE CHUCKS
Control Units can control several Electro-permanent magnetic chucks at the same time. For instance, one control unit, BUR-80 can control up to 8 magnetic chucks.
SPECIFICATIONS
PENDULAR CONTROL UNIT
It is also possible to control the magnetic chucks is a pendular way by magnetizing or demagnetizing two groups of chucks separately. For instance, one control unit BUR-40P will permit to separately control 2 groups of 4 magnetic chucks each.
MACHINE INTERFACE
Control units include an interface permitting to pilot and to control the magnetic chucks from the machine’s PLC. The safety information contact is available to control the correct operation of magnetic systems.
